Father Bloopy selling out

March 12th, 2008 · 1 Comment

What does selling out of CD’s, changing names and country music videos have to do with Father Bloopy? It’s Pretty Straight.2 of us

The intense first few months since Father Bloopy was kick started last Summer with the release of “Ginger, Baby” are paying off. If you got to know us early on, you may only recognize a couple of us who have survived. =)

The band, fans and press team have been working diligently to help spread the songs of Father Bloopy. The results have been strong MySpace support, radio play across the world plus strong reviews & comments. Regardless, it still came to a surprise to see our stock of “Ginger, Baby” finally selling out (no pun intended). There is no plan to do a repressing (ehem, future collectors item!?) so once it’s out, it’s out! We encourage to order it directly from us @ dippyshop.com as opposed to the Amazon used bins for obvious reasons.

OK, is this starting to sound like a goodbye? Well, that may not be a total accident. Father Bloopy will be changing name soon. Mainly due to practical reasons (selling out!?). The good news (or even better news for those who disliked our name) is we have some new music on the way too.

Here are some exclusive work-in-progress clips: Something Unreal; Aventura ‘08

Now that we’ve gotten the ‘eavy stuff out of the way…here’s a bit of fun…see if you can spot Bloopy Roger in country star Joe Nichols new music video for his top-of-the-chart hit “It Ain’t No Crime” exclusively on CMT.
